My entry on Character Design Challenge with Devils and Demons as a theme.

And boy oh boy, on a theme such as this month's how not to go for slavic folklore?
There are a lot of demons in Slavic mythology, not all of them were considered bad. Sure, almost all of them were mischievous and troublesome, but some of them could also provide prosperity and aid in housekeeping if treated well.

Chort was not one of those. He lived in forests and swamps, not often seen near human habitat and if so, he was only there to torment people and bring illnesses. His half man, half goat appearance and purely evil character helped to turn him into a personification of the devil after the christianisation of slavic realms.
